Back on Track: Pokemon and Addresses

One of the ways I was able to entice Chase about relocating to Japan was telling him we were moving to the capital / hometown of all the best animation and action figures like Pokemon, DragonBall Z Kai and Power Rangers, etc… Yesterday, while we were out getting Chase white sneakers for PE class, we were on our way home and happened to come across Pokemon Festival!

It was a fun unexpected afternoon and Chase ended up winning a lot of fun Pokemon prizes. They had little stations like this karate-chop station where you could earn souveniers:

All in all it was a very fun afternoon. Just another one of those random moments here in Tokyo.

Daily living:

What is up with this address?

The addresses are very confusing here. It may have something to do with the fact that there are no street names. It may also be from the fact that addresses written in Japanese are backwards from the way they are written in English. Even though it can take a very long time to get things from America, receiving shipments within Japan (ie Amazon Japan) can be unbelievably quick.

The easiest way to write your new Tokyo Address is to format such:

Name

Name of apartment comlex

number-number-number Nishi-Azabu #apartment number

Minato-ku, Tokyo 106-0031

Postal code=Zip code

Prefecture=Tokyo

County = Minato-ku

I’m keeping this short because of the last post, so

Until next time…
